The "Ars Bestiaria" (or "Beastly Arts") is a series of prints based on antique scientific illustrations of animals. These source images were photoshopped together into new combinations of imaginary beasts. The prints originally took the form of a bestiary book made using a paper-plate lithography process, and are now being re-imagined as singular works of art, printed from poleyester plates and embellished by hand.
These are the original combined images used to print the plates; I will be posting the finished prints as soon as they are completed.
